One more reason to vote

I give all my patients a prescription to vote. I don't care who they vote for but they have to vote. They don't like this but they don't like a lot of the other things I give them prescriptions for either...and this is easier than taking a pill 4 times a day for 10 days.

Welcome back!

Thanks for the line - I didn't sign up for early voting so I'll be visiting my local polling place. Last time around, I had to wait for almost two hours to get through the line. I won't mind waiting so much if I know I have some B&J waiting for me. :)

On a side note: welcome back! Hope your article went well and I think your followers are waiting with baited breath for your next entry. Well, I know at least I am, so glad to see you on.

Re: Welcome back!

My article went fantastically, amazingly, astoundingly well and got great press. Totally worth the pain and horribleness. Just because of your post I've put up a very short entry, enjoy.

Re: Welcome back!

Wahoo! Thanks much for the entry - I've been hitting your blog about every other day since the post about the journal. Congrats on your success. :)

Re: Welcome back!

I'm super flattered but be aware that if I post 2-3 times during a month that is a lot for me. The big posts take a while to write up and get to a point where I am willing to post them and I'm not one of those LJers who feels like people want to know what I ate for breakfast (custard, this morning, with cranberries and walnuts mixed in).

But comments like yours keep me going, so thank you for reading and thank you for being supportive.

Re: Welcome back!

Ooooh, I hear you on the writing thing. I just finished an editorial (i.e. - non-scientific) profile of a HCC patient who underwent a micro-brachytherapy procedure. The human interest part was no problem but I still struggle with the medical terminology and concepts even though I've been doing this for more than a year now.

Normally, I write about emerging technologies (mobile phones, cloud computing, etc.) but this client is a bio-sciences manufacturer. Kudos to anyone who works in a medical profession - I can't keep this stuff straight without fourteen different reference books at hand. On the upside, the client doesn't seem to mind correcting my sometimes-bizarre errors in terminology and phrasing, thank heavens.

Ben and Jerry's is great...

It looks like Babeland in New York City is running a similar promostion. Except instead of ice cream, they're giving out sex toys.

Only in NYC. Or maybe San Francisco...
